What you should know about Santorini Greece
Santorini owes its iconic crescent shape and high cliffs (some of which are more than 1,000 feet high) to a volcanic eruption that took place about 3,500 years ago. This same volcanic explosion has been linked to the legend of the long-lost city of Atlantis. Unfortunately, there is not much evidence to back it up. This is also the place where you will find the iconic white churches with blue domes. The most famous one is in Oia, a village on the northwestern tip of Santorini Island. DID YOU KNOW?
