Carnival Mardi Gras

CARNIVAL MARDI GRAS

Simply majestic, the Mardi Gras is one of three new ships that Carnival Cruise line has reinvented; a ship that reinvents the cruise holiday.

The Mardi Gras is the largest ship in the already impressive Carnival fleet. A colossus, it weighs in at an astonishing 180,000 tons. At 344 meters long, it sails with a capacity of 6,500 very happy passengers.

What’s waiting for you on board?

Carnival’s Mardi Gras is divided into six zones: Grand Central, the French Quarter, La Piazza, Summer Landing, the Lido, and the Ultimate Playground. The Ultimate Playground is home to the first and fastest roller coaster at sea, and one can forget everything previously known about cruise ship activities. You control the speed of the cart and, fast or slow, take in incredible views of the sea.

The massive Waterworks Park is perfect for kids and adults and includes the famous Twister waterslide among many others. Waterworks parks are each unique to their Carnival cruise ship, but this one is extra big and extra special.

For grownups only, far beyond the normal high-energy of a cruise, there’s a place where silence and tranquility are your only companions. Serenity offers a swimming pool, a cocktail lounge, and a very relaxed setting no matter how much fun you’ve had outside.

The Carnival Mardi Gras takes the idea of the cruise ship atrium to an all new level in the Grand Central area. Floor to ceiling windows offer the entire starboard side of the ship, and there’s of course a terrific lounge for taking it all in, mile after stunning sea-mile.

Don’t forget the fabulous French Quarter for memories of New Orleans and a unique dining atmosphere with cocktail lounges and restaurants all in the festive spirit of the Big Easy. Of course, there’s non-stop jazz too.

La Piazza has your craving for Italian covered with no fewer than three trattorias: Cucina del Capitano, Pizzeria del Capitano, and an all-new seafood restaurant with the best from the entire Mediterranean. Of course, to accompany everything the lounges offer exquisite cappuccinos and  classic Italian cocktails.

The Summer Landing, arguably the best place on board for relaxing, lets you take in the outdoors at multiple swimming pools and hot tubs, with spacious places for rest and PatchdPig’s signature craft beers, all part of Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse brewery.
