Serving a path to nearby tourist areas, La Romana is a city the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. Altos de Chavón is a 16th Century Mediterranean recreated village on the Chavón River with plenty of workshops owned by artists. In its city center of the city, you will find an obelisk adorned with colorful paintings portraying its local's daily life. Head for the South of the city, to Catalina Island, and enjoy a visit to its beaches, coral reefs, and the famous William Kidd's pirate shipwreck.

Puerto Plata (officially known as San Felipe de Puerto Plata) is the ninth largest city in the Dominican Republic and the capital of Puerto Plata’s province. For spectacular views of the city, climb “Pico Isabel de Torres”, which is more than 2,600 feet high. Do you like learning about history? Visit San Felipe Fortress, which was built in the 16th century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo.
