Itinerary

Venice / Venice, Italy

There is plenty of ways to start a conversation about Venice, for example, its restaurants, wine bars, marble churches, its renown blown-glass technique, or the fact that Venice is built right on top of water. Filled with narrow alleys and man-made canals, there is no place as extraordinary as this to get lost.
You should know about Venice
Having been totally built above water more than 2 millennia ago, Venice is was a maritime republic with complete control of the Adriatic Sea during the Middle Ages. Did you know? Dozens of movies having been filmed at this city. Some of the ones you might know are the famous James Bond films: From Russia with Love, Moonraker, and 2006’s Casino Royale. When looking for a true Italian cuisine experience, grab a table at one of its various restaurants and enjoy the freshest of seafoods, a creamy risotto or a traditional tiramisu. Take a trip down the city canals onboard a gondola and do not miss Rialto’s Bridge, built in the 16th century, the oldest one at Venice’s Grand Canal.

Dubrovnik / Dubrovnik, Croatia

Despite its magnificent 13th century walls which surround the city, Dubrovnik is one of the most visited cruise destinations in all of Europe. Named the Pearl of the Adriatic by the poet Lord Byron, this Croatian city radiates a romantic charm across its shimmering marble streets, centuries-old buildings with bright orange roofs, and charming beaches flanked by incredible rocky ledges.
You should know about Dubrovnik
Back when the United States declared its independence, Dubrovnik (which was an independent state at the time) was the first region to recognize it as a nation. Being the main landmark of the city, the spectacular medieval walls, towers and forts that surround it aimed to protect the village from attacks by the Venetians. Did you know? The tie, fashion object men wear around their necks, was invented in Croatia! It is called cravat, derived from the word Croatian.

Athens / Piraeus / Athens, Greece

Welcome to the cradle of civilization, the oldest city in Europe. While being home to the Acropolis and some of the most important architectural structures and archaeological discoveries in the Western world, it is also a very modern city that blends art, culture, cuisine, and shopping in a unique and perfect way.
You should know about Athens
Famous for monuments such as the Acropolis, the Temple of the Parthenon, and the Temple of Olympic Zeus; Athens is (and has been for over 4,000 years) the capital of Greek civilization. If you want to savor the tastiness of true Greek food, make a list of things-to-try on your visit and do not forget to write down: olives, olive oil, ouzo, and anise-flavored liquor. Santorini / Santorini, Greece

What you should know about Santorini Greece
Santorini owes its iconic crescent shape and high cliffs (some of which are more than 1,000 feet high) to a volcanic eruption that took place about 3,500 years ago. This same volcanic explosion has been linked to the legend of the long-lost city of Atlantis. Unfortunately, there is not much evidence to back it up. This is also the place where you will find the iconic white churches with blue domes. The most famous one is in Oia, a village on the northwestern tip of Santorini Island. DID YOU KNOW? Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, a film starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, was shot in various locations in Greece, including the beautiful Santorini.

Zadar / Zadar, Croatia

Zadar, Croatia, is also the historic center of Dalmatia on the Adriatic Sea. Full of Roman-influenced architectural constructions, Zadar is a very picturesque place with many churches and cathedrals. Here you will also find several national parks and attractions, such as the beautiful Paklenica. Located right by the sea, it is considered to be the hidden gem of Telascica due to its turquoise waters, and the impressive sea organ, which plays music as the waves break from the ocean.
What you should know about Zadar, Croatia
Roman aqueducts, temples, medieval churches, monasteries, and a forum are just some of the things you can expect to see in Zadar. The Archaeological Museum offers more than 80,000 exhibits from the Stone Age to the late Middle Ages and is one of the most important museums in Croatia. Walk along the paved riverside or relax in one of the many cafes and enjoy breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. From casual dining to cutting-edge cuisine, many cafes and restaurants offer everything you might need. Try fresh clams and mussels or go ahead and order a local delicatessen.
